Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how AttendConfirm (“AttendConfirm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit attendconfirm.com, request a pilot, create an account, or use our appointment confirmation and no-show recovery service. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information that is generated when you use the Service, and information we receive from connected calendars and messaging providers so we can send reminders and recover no-show slots.

Account and business information

When you request a pilot, create an account, or onboard an organization, we may collect business name, work email, password or authentication credentials, timezone, calendar software, and related workspace settings.

Calendar and appointment information

If you connect Google Calendar, we access calendar identifiers and event details needed to schedule, confirm, and recover appointments. This may include event titles, start and end times, status, and customer contact details stored on those events (such as phone numbers) solely to operate SMS reminders.

Messaging and payment information

We process phone numbers, outbound and inbound SMS content, delivery status, and confirmation or cancellation replies. If deposits or card-on-file features are enabled, payment card data is handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Technical information

We automatically collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and cookies needed for authentication, security, and basic operation of the site.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the AttendConfirm overlay, including automated appointment reminders and no-show recovery.
  • Read and manage calendar events so we can send SMS confirmations and update appointment status based on customer replies.
  • Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent abuse.
  • Communicate with you about onboarding, product updates, and support.
  • Process payments and deposits where those features are enabled.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer or calendar data to build advertising profiles.

Google Workspace APIs

3. Google API Data Usage

AttendConfirm uses Google Workspace APIs (Google Calendar) to read and manage calendar events solely for the purpose of scheduling and sending automated SMS reminders.

We access only the Google Calendar data required to operate this feature, including event times, titles, status, and customer contact details associated with those events. OAuth tokens are stored securely and used only to keep your calendar connected and to perform these scheduling and reminder actions.

  • We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI and/or ML models.
  • We do not sell or share Google user data with third parties.
  • Google user data is used only to provide the user-facing features of AttendConfirm: reading appointments, sending reminder SMS messages, and updating events based on confirmation, waitlist, or cancellation replies.

Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. SMS communications

AttendConfirm sends automated, transactional SMS messages on behalf of businesses that use the Service. These messages relate to upcoming appointments, confirmations, cancellations, and waitlist recovery. Recipients may reply with keywords such as YES, NO, or STOP according to the instructions in the message.

Message frequency depends on the number of appointments scheduled. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive appointment messages is obtained by the business that collected the customer’s phone number. Customers may opt out of further SMS from that sender by following the STOP instructions in the message.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Infrastructure and authentication: hosting, database, and account providers that process data on our instructions.
  • Messaging providers: SMS carriers and messaging platforms used to deliver appointment reminders.
  • Payments: Stripe, for deposits and related billing where enabled.
  • Legal and safety: if required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Service providers are permitted to process information only to perform services for us and are not authorized to use it for their own unrelated purposes. Google user data is subject to the additional restrictions in the Google API Data Usage section above.

Google Workspace APIs

Google API Limited Use Disclosure

AttendConfirm's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We strictly do not sell, rent, share, or trade any Google User Data (including Calendar information) with third parties for any purpose.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect against fraud, complete Google Calendar authorization, and remember basic session state. We do not use advertising cookies to track you across third-party sites.

7. Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Calendar tokens, appointment records, and SMS logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for scheduling, delivery, support, and audit purposes.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and restricted production access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may disconnect Google Calendar at any time from your AttendConfirm workspace or by revoking access in your Google Account permissions.

To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You may also have the right to appeal a denial or to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our processors operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top of this page will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
